Bradford

So, interested in the local scene of Bradford? Small, yet still so exciting!

THE CLUBS

Village
Partnered with Bar Uber, Village is the newest club on the scene in Bradford. Inside you come across a great atmosphere and brilliant decor, along with the famous vodka slushies. Open on Thursday Owned by the lovely Jason.

Candy
Possibly Bradford's most popular gay club, Candy will certainly keep you entertained. On the Friday and Saturday night, you will meet the fabulous Miss Marigold. And after hours the DJ with Bradford's loudest music, Timmy Tease, will be downstairs.

THE BAR (yes, there's only one)

With the recent closure of the sun we are now left with just the fabulous Bar UBER run by the loverly Sue.

THE PUBS

The Sun is Bradford's oldest gay bar. It provides a friendly atmosphere, and a lively start to your Friday and Saturday Nights, with Miss Missy Mincin'.

Also, not gay, but very friendly and local is The Westleigh Hotel with a wonderful karaoke night every Tuesday. Right next to the Laisteridge Lane site! ;)


Leeds

Leeds Gay village is located around Leeds bridge and Lower Briggate, about a four minute walk from end to end. The village is within easy walking distance from Leeds City rail station and Leeds Bus & Coach station

Blayds Bar (Gay)
3-7 Blayds Yard, Leeds.

Blayds court is the first yard, narrow yard entrance, on the left as you go up Briggate.
The smallest gay pub in Leeds. Like all the gay bars, gay pubs & gay clubs in Leeds Blayds bar has a gay - lesbian mix, but tends to have a slightly higher percentage of lesbians compared to the other gay venues in Leeds.

Bridge (Gay)
1-5 Bridge End, Leeds.

Bright American style lighted bar.
Popular on Thursdays, Karaoke night - up to about 1 am.
Tends to close earlier than the New Penny next door.
Within walking distance of Leeds Train Station.

Fibre Bar (Gay)
168 Briggate with side entrance in Queens court. Leeds.

Higher class venue over 2 floors with balcony overlooking Queens Court.
Very popular on a weekend with the Courtyard parties held in conjunction with Queens Court & The Loft on the other side of Queens Court courtyard.
Within walking distance of Leeds Train Station.

Mission (Gay on Monday, Mainly straight with a gay mix other nights)

The most popular gay venue on a Monday night is 'Homo' night with very reduced price drinks, and a entrance fee around £3. This is without doubt a great night out and part of 3sum which spans Queens Court, Mission and the Sauna.
Mission has undergone a major refit with a great new look with event nights - Missionary, Purrfect Electro, Glasshouse, Kissdafunk & Studio Funk & In Bed With Space.

Religion (Gay)
Lower Briggate, Leeds

Leeds latest gay venue opened on Saturday 26 July 2007
A very classy bar with plenty of glass & steel decor. Even the are screened off with a glass brick wall and frosted glass partitions to the WCs

The club is generally aimed at a more sophisticated over 25 clientele, not sure if this aim has been altered because it now has a student night on Thursdays.

The New Penny (Gay)
57 Call La. Leeds LS1 7BT

The New Penny is the original gay pub in Leeds , the first gay pub to open outside London, then known as the Hope & Anchor.

Quiz on Tuesday nights
Karaoke night on Wednesday

Slowly but surely the look of the New Penny is being improved.two of the walls in the back room have been taken back to bare varnished brick, and wooden shutters placed on the rear windows, most customers think that the new look is a great improvement.

Now with a late licence. Expect the New Penny to stay open until 4 am on Friday & Saturday nights, & 2:30 am on Sundays. Arrive before 1am to avoid the door charge £2

Queens Court & The Loft (Gay)
Queens Ct, Briggate Entrance in Queens court

The most popular gay venue on a Monday night 'Pink Pounder' with very reduced price drinks, and a nominal entrance fee (free before 8pm). Also very popular on a weekend with the summer Courtyard parties held in conjunction with Fibre on the other side of Queens Court courtyard.

Fiori Flower Shop/Mission (Gay every Saturday)
From 25th April 2009 a new weekly gay night hits Leeds in the form of Back Door Disco.
From the creator of Blasphemy comes Back Door Disco which is situated in part of Mission and accessed through the wonderfully furnished Fiori Flower Shop that was once The Annexe. With moderately priced drinks, a 600 capacity dance floor and the best DJ's from the area and hosts to match, Back Door Disco is a must for those visiting the Leeds gay scene on a weekend!
